To cloth or not?
Another parenting dilemma and the choice out there is overwhelming! There are many advantages for choosing to use cloth nappies both financial and environmental but also there is just nothing cuter than a little bum clothed in a deliciously soft cloth nappy – not to mention the fun in waiting for your “fluffy” mail to arrive!
I used many different types with my first born with great success and ease but my standout favourite is the Bambino Mio Miosolo – these clever cloth nappies are one size fits all which means you save $$ as they are the only nappy you need for bubs for they adjust as they grow! Genius! Another plus is I found my kids toilet trained really easily while in cloth nappies.

Maternity Ward is bustling at TSN!
On Wednesday I was lucky enough to become an Aunty for the second time. My brother and sister in law welcomed the most beautiful baby boy Mason James weighing in at a whopping 9lb10 – and if you met my sister in law she is a tiny 5ft nothing, an amazing accomplishment!
Here is my two kiddies meeting their baby cousin – told you he was ADORABLE!
Now as you can imagine little Mason is quite spoilt for choice with his Aunty Tammy working for the most amazing online baby store – soooooooo many choices and being the second baby born, they had all the big ticket items so how do I spoil this new little man in our life?

Fun Tummy Time!
Oh how I remember tummy time and the growing importance of letting your baby enjoy some time on their tum to strengthen their neck muscles and avoid the dreaded “flat head”. Thankfully (sort of) my second child never slept long enough to ever be in danger of developing this syndrome!
Sleeping babies on their backs is highly recommended in the SIDS & Kids safe sleeping guidelines and it’s wonderful that since the Safe Sleeping campaign was introduced the rate of SIDS decreased by 80% the payoff it seems is that the incidence of flat head syndrome has increased and this is likely to be because more parents put babies to sleep on their backs as recommended. It is very important to continue to put small babies to sleep on their backs but it is also important to give them plenty of ‘tummy time’ when they are awake! (and if you have a baby like mine that’s about 19 hours a day!!)

1. Have the right mat!
Tummy Time must be fun and comfortable for baby! We have a great array of playmats to ensure baby is comfy and entertained.
